Bible in 90 Days- Day 11 Check In

So far so good reading through in 90 days! I have had to be extremely disciplined about this. I read online, so that I can read in different translations, and it is so tempting to get caught up in other things online and find it "too late" to read. But, so far, so good. I haven't missed any days yet.

Today's reading ended up in Numbers 21. Reading through Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy is probably the hardest reading in the Bible for me. No matter how many times I read it, I find it hard to understand how all the laws and commands and customs and rituals tie in to a life lived in God's grace today.

Here is a verse in today's reading that struck me, one that hasn't stood out to me before but did today: 17And I will come down and talk with you there; and I will take of the Spirit which is upon you and will put It upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you may not have to bear it yourself alone. Moses was so frustrated and overburdened by the people and their complaints, and God understood. He didn't bash Moses for feeling overwhelmed. Instead He promised to send his spirit on 70 other men to help Moses. I feel overwhelmed sometimes, and it is encouraging to think that God doesn't bash me either. Instead he sends His Spirit and gives me His strength to make it through the day. Thank you, Lord!
