Bible in 90 Days- Day 24 SOAP

S- 2 Samuel 24:24But King David said to Araunah, No, but I will buy it of you for a price. I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God of that which costs me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

O- King David refused to accept the threshing floor and offering supplies from Araunah for nothing.  Instead, he insisted that his sacrifice would cost something.

A-Often I want to "give" to God, but not really in a way that would cost me.  as long as it doesn't cost too much time or money or loss of control over the situation, I am willing to "sacrifice."  But a sacrifice that costs me nothing is not truly a sacrifice, is it?

P- Lord, help me to be willing to make a costly sacrifice.  Help me be willing to spend time or money to do what You want me to do.
