Christmasville 2010

Our community has a local Christmas festival every year- Christmasville.  This year the weather was cold and cloudy, so we didn't go to very many activities.

We did walk around downtown with friends Thursday evening.  We visited the library and made Christmas crafts.  We made phone calls to Santa.  We listened to music.  Our church's handbell ringers were there.  We ate supper with our friends, and the kids ran and played on the lawn.

On Saturday, the weather was particularly cloudy with a chance of rain or snow.  Charles and Jason ran in the Reindeer Romp 5K.  When they were finished, we ate breakfast with Santa at the Old Towne Bistro.  The brand new children's museum was having an open house, so we stopped in for a bit.  We looked at some gingerbread houses entered in this year's contest and then had a brief train ride.

It is a little bit crowded and hectic, but Christmasville is a fun way to kick off the Christmas season.
