Testimony Tuesdays- May 7, 2013

There were several things that I contemplated sharing this week We went to an amazing homeschool conference this weekend, and many things I heard and saw were great. But what I'm going to share happened later, when we returned from the conference.

When we returned home from the convention, I was spent, and my fibromyalgia was flaring. Sunday I had no real opportunity for rest because of several things we had going on at church. By Sunday evening, I was in a bad state of pain. I took my meds and a hot bath, but instead of getting better the pain became worse. I tried everything I could do, but I ended up in the ER with some of the worse pain I could ever had imagined.

On Monday I posted a brief status about my trip and my thanks to those I knew had prayed and to my parents who had helped us.

In response, I had many others who said they would be praying.

James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

I can most definitely feel the power of prayer. And it is so very encouraging to know that people who I don't even see or talk to on a regular basis are willing to pray for me.

I think we have an awesome vehicle for encouraging each other in prayer through social media. And I am so very thankful that God gives us the privilege of coming to Him in prayer for ourselves and for each other.

  1. I agree, the power of prayer is amazing! I often get fibro flare ups, too, after what is an overall good time that just took a lot out of me. It truly is amazing what prayer can do, though!

  3. Thank you for praying, Sara. I hear so many people now who are diagnosed with fibro. I appreciate you ladies sharing as it helps to know I'm not alone and to pray for each other!
