So, I'm happy to have found this great blog hop: Christian Fellowship Friday. Sometimes I feel like I begin reading blogs I enjoy, but I never really know much about the blogger. So the purpose of Christian Fellowship Friday is just to chat and get to know each other.

Since this is the first time I've participated in this blog hop, I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Leah Courtney. I just turned 40 years old. I kind of expected to feel really, really old or something, but, truthfully, I don't feel any different.

I have been married to my husband who is my best friend for almost 19 years. Our anniversary will be this week on December 10. I am a homeschooling mom of four kids. We have homeschooled from the beginning, and I have a 14yo, 12 (almost 13)yo, 9yo, and 8yo.

Before I had children I taught school. I have an elementary education and special education undergraduate degree and a graduate degree in reading education. When I taught, I taught 2nd grade and then special ed resource. When my first child was born, my husband told me he would do all he could to let me stay home with her and not work. He has continued to do all he can to make it possible for me to stay home and homeschool my kids.

I love to blog. I love to review books and other products. Lately I've been able to earn a little money with my writing on the side. I'd love to be able to continue to do this. I enjoy it, and I can contribute to our family's income.

I have fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed several years ago, and things have steadily declined. I began eating gluten free in May, however, and I've noticed some definite improvement. I'm very thankful, and I have continued eating gluten free. It's hard to live with chronic pain. But dealing with it has made me really aware of trusting on God for strength all the time. I can know that anything I do isn't in my strength- because I know I couldn't do it- but it by God's grace.

That's me in a nutshell. I'm glad to have you stop by and visit. I look forward to visiting the other blogs on the hop this week and getting to know some good friends. If you like to read, you can also check out my book review blog- Leah's Good Reads. And if you have teens, they might enjoy my daughter's blog- Kat's Korner. And if you just happened upon my Christian Fellowship post, check out the other blogs and join in below!
