I am still continuing through the Bible in 90 Days. I think I am behind a day, so my weekly count is off. I hit Day 62 today, though; and I'm deeply into the prophets.

The prophets are difficult reading. I'm in Ezekiel right now, and some of the things God has Ezekiel do to be a symbol to the Israelites are just wild. In fact God takes Ezekiel's wife, and Ezekiel isn't allowed to mourn her. This is symbolic to the Israelites. I admit that I have trouble reading through some of this. I don't understand it all, and I don't know why it's all included in the Bible.

I think it is okay to have questions about what we read in the Bible. Every time I read, I feel like I understand something new, something I didn't understand before. I think God intends it to be this way. We learn and understand and are enlightened by the Holy Spirit inside us as Christians. But it doesn't happen all at once. It happens little by little each time we read. That's why I think it's so important to read the Bible through again and again.

I'll finish up the major prophets this week and head into the minor prophets.
