Review of God's Crime Scene for Kids: Researching the Truth of Creation with a Real Detective

Early in their lives, kids will probably be faced with an evolutionary worldview. Many sources will tell them that there is no God, no intelligent Designer. And they'll hear that science and the Bible aren't compatible, and science must be right and the Bible just a fairy tale.

God's Crime Scene for Kids is the second book by the authors0 J. Warner Wallace, Susie Wallace, and Rob Suggs. The firstCold-Case Christianity for Kids: Investigate Jesus with a Real Detective, I haven't had the opportunity to read. But I recently reviewed this one.

Review of God's Crime Scene for Kids

The book uses the idea of scientific investigation to look at the earth's beginnings. The children in the book are solving a mystery about a mysterious box one found in his attic. As a real detective teaches the kids how to solve the mystery of the box, they also use the principles they're learning to examine how the world began.

This is an interesting way to approach teaching kids about the earth's origins. The detective story spin makes it a fun process. The book teaches the scientific method as the investigation goes along, and kids learn that the record of creation in the Bible is definitely not incompatible with science.

The book is accompanied by a cool website- Case Maker's Academy- where you can find lessons to go along with each chapter and a case notebook that kids can keep as they go through the "academy."
