Our local science museum has been renovating over the last year and a half. This spring and summer, they are reopening new parts of the museum and some remodeled exhibits. We are members, and I decided to take the kids to visit today before school gets out, so it wouldn’t be so crowded.
We all had a great time. The little children’s play place has been totally redone and included a huge water table, blocks, a giant lite brite, and a toddler play area. One of the special exhibits was about bacteria and microbitia that live on your body. I thought it was cool. The kids were a little grossed out. A new 3D theater featured shows about sea turtles and dinosaurs. The kids’ favorite was a new exhibit called Think it Up where they could play with all kinds of inventive materials and activities.
