Bible in 90 Days- Day 24 SOAP

S– 2 Samuel 24:24But King David said to Araunah, No, but I will buy it of you for a price. I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God of that which costs me nothing. So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

O– King David refused to accept the threshing floor and offering supplies from Araunah for nothing.  Instead, he insisted that his sacrifice would cost something.

A-Often I want to “give” to God, but not really in a way that would cost me.  as long as it doesn’t cost too much time or money or loss of control over the situation, I am willing to “sacrifice.”  But a sacrifice that costs me nothing is not truly a sacrifice, is it?

P– Lord, help me to be willing to make a costly sacrifice.  Help me be willing to spend time or money to do what You want me to do.
