For the past two years in January, I’ve had lots of fun participating in the Virtual Curriculum Fair with Homeschooling Hearts and Minds. This was last year’s language arts post. The Virtual Curriculum Fair is a way for homeschoolers to share with other homeschoolers what curricula we’ve been using throughout the year and to talk about what has worked and what hasn’t worked.
I always like starting school back in January. It’s a new year and a clean slate. I love that I can look at what has been working for us and what hasn’t and make changes as needed. I also love to hear from other homeschoolers to take a look at what curricula they’ve loved (or hated).
Beginning next Monday, I’ll be looking at various subjects each Monday of the month and sharing what curricula I’ve been using to teach those subjects along with other activities we’ve enjoyed in those subjects. I’ll be sharing what’s been working and what hasn’t been working so well. Here are the posts I’ll have coming up.
Jan.6- Language Arts: Reading and Writing and Learning With Words
Jan.13- Math and Logic: Patterns and Reasoning
Jan.20- History and Science: Learning About the World Around Us
Jan.27- The Arts: Creating and Appreciating Beauty
You can read more about the upcoming Virtual Curriculum Fair in this post at Homeschooling Hearts and Minds. There are thirty homeschool bloggers participating, so you can get a glimpse of what’s been working- or not- with many other homeschoolers.
