As I was preparing my latest post, I realized that I was posting my 1000th post here on Blogger! I began blogging quite a few years ago as a young homeschooling mom. I had been encouraged and had learned so much from other homeschool bloggers, and I wanted to join in to the wonderful blogging community to give and receive support. I began blogging on a blogging platform that isn't around anymore- Homeschool Blogger- but in 2008, I moved to Blogger.

My very first post on November 17, 2008 was a Welcome post. Since then I've posted about our daily homeschool journey, our family, and- more recently- product reviews. My goal has always been, and continues to be, to encourage and support other homeschoolers in their homemaking and homeschooling journeys.

And so I've reached my 1000th post. I am continuing to enjoy life as a homeschool mom. My challenges are different now that I have older children- one in high school and another soon to be. I still enjoy the community that I find in blogging. And I look forward to the next 1000 posts.

***And Now for a GIVEAWAY***

To celebrate my 1000th post, I'm holding a giveaway that includes two fiction books and two nonfiction books that are recent favorites from my reviewing.

The One Year Book of Amish Peace- a one year devotional reader by Tricia Goyer; it includes Scripture and a reading for every day and interesting information about the Amish people.

One Way Love by Tullian Tchividjian- written by the grandson of Billy and Ruth Graham, this book celebrates God's grace and love that is present even when we don't deserve it.

Traces of Mercy- this historical Christian fiction is set during the Civil War and is written by Michael Landon, Jr- son of Michael Landon of Little House on the Prairie fame.

Undeniably Yours- this was a sweet contemporary Christian romance that was so good I gave it five stars.

You can use the Rafflecopter to enter the giveaway, and I'll be drawing for a winner on March 30- my middle daughter's birthday!
