5 on the 5th: January 5, 2015

It’s time for this month’s… 5 on the 5th. I’m sharing five recent blog posts that have encouraged, informed, or inspired me. 5 on the 5th is hosted at Ben and Me, and you can go and join in the fun, link up your 5 on the 5th post, and find lots of other great posts to read this month.

We live in the South, and that means that we don’t get lots of snow. Although I’m great with that, I think the kids would probably enjoy snow once in a while. So I loved this post at Adena F. about making your own snow. (And this snow is much warmer!)

Do you sometimes struggle with remembering to be grateful? I do. I love this beautiful Grateful Journal from Marcy at Ben and Me. You can get it free and record things you are grateful for in 2015.

The start of a new year is a great time to get refocused. And getting refocused on cleaning my house is definitely something I need help with. Michele at Family, Faith, and Fridays has a 34 week cleaning challenge to get you started.

Susan at Homeschooling Hearts and Minds is hosting the 3rd annual Virtual Curriculum Fair, beginning this week. (I’m participating!) You can read all about it and check out the other participating bloggers in this introductory post.

This post from Laura at Day by Day in Our World really made me think. I do suffer from homeschool burnout in the winter months, and it’s easy to start imagining a different life. But this post- A Homeschool Mother’s Call: Obedience to God- helped me put things in perspective.

I hope you enjoy this month’s post. Don’t forget to go by and check out the other 5 on the 5th bloggers this month at Ben and Me.
