So…not to sound like a broken record, but fall is not my favorite season, ya’ll. Cold weather, short days, cold and flu season- about the only thing that fall has going for it is football.

Seriously, there are a few things I look forward to in the fall- crispy leaves that are all pretty colors, apples from the apple orchard, a bonfire out in the backyard on a cool, crisp night. I also love all of the fun fall things there are to do with the kids. Mine are getting older, and our fall fun has turned from a pumpkin patch trip to a challenging corn maze. But there are still fun, family things to do.
In celebration of the fun parts of fall, I’m sharing a list of books that you can read with the kids as we head into fall.

We’re Going on a Leaf Hunt by Steve Metzger
Apples and Pumpkins by Anne Rockwell
Why Do Leaves Change Color? by Betsy Maestro
Red Leaf, Yellow Leaf by Lois Ehlert
Awesome Autumn by Bruce Goldstone
Autumn Is Here by Heidi Pross Gray
Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn by Kenard Pak
Fall Leaves by Loretta Holland
Fall Is Not Easy by Marty Kelley
Let It Fall by Maryann Cocca-Leffler
