What kinds of costumes should we wear?- the celebration of Reformation Day gets lost in the shuffle. What is Reformation Day you may ask? If you are a Protestant Christian, it’s a day that is very important in the history of the Church.
This article has more detail, but basically Reformation Day celebrates Martin Luther nailing his Ninety-Five Theses to the door of the church. If you’re looking for a way to share more about Reformation Day with your kids, here are some books that will help.
When Lightning Struck– This is an awesome book that I reviewed last year. Written for middle school and high school students, it’s a look at the life of Martin Luther and the development of his personal faith that led to the Protestant Reformation. Danika Cooley is the author, and she provides a free discussion guide and unit study to go along with the book.
