I’ve shared recently about my love for Christmas stories. Over the years I’ve collected Christmas stories based on television characters, old-fashioned Christmas stories, children’s classic Christmas stories, and Bible-based Christmas stories. But I’ve recently reviewed a unique Christmas story for children- Christmas Love Letters from God.

- A Scripture reference and a summary of the Bible passage indicated
- A rhyming segment
- A Bible verse with “God’s Perfect Promise”
- A lift-the-flap Love Letter from God that addresses the reader (There’s even a blank for you to write the child’s name.) and makes application from the Bible passage
- Colorful illustrations that look three-dimensional because they include objects and layered paper illustrations on the colorful backgrounds
This book could easily become a part of a tradition leading up to Christmas day. Each day, parents could read aloud one section of Bible passage, rhyming segment, Bible verse promise, and love letter. When my kids were younger, they would have loved the opportunity to take turns lifting each flap as we read the love letters.
