Books and Art Projects for Homeschool Artist Study

I have to admit that teaching art isn’t my strong suit as a homeschool mom. I try. But it’s a topic that I never really learned much about myself. But I’m always looking for ways to introduce my kids to art and artists.

One way that I’ve found to bring some art into our homeschooling is through learning about the lives of great artists. Reading about the artists often introduces us to different styles of art and different art periods as well.

If you’re looking for a way to introduce great artists to your kids, I’m sharing a list of books and art projects that will help. I’ve given approximate ages for the books, but, as all homeschool moms know, this is only a suggestion. My older kids often like a good picture book. And when my younger kids were little and listening along with the big kids, they often learned much more than I expected.
