Books and Unit Study Resources for Groundhog Day

Holidays are a great time to do fun, themed unit studies with the kids. Unit studies can get the whole family involved in fun learning.

Groundhog Day is one of those smaller holidays, but there are some fun activities that you can do and some great books about day. There are even some great groundhog-themed academic learning activities that you can do with the kids.

The books and activities in this post can be used to plan a Groundhog Day unit study. When I can, I've put an approximate age/grade. Of course, homeschoolers are all about flexibility, and you can adapt any activity to work with the ages of your kids. Many of these activities are free. I've noted if they aren't. Never planned your own unit study? Pick up my free Create Your Own Unit Study ebook. It's got step-by-step instructions and planning pages to help you.
