Biblical fiction can be an interesting genre. I’ve read Biblical fiction that I loved because it stayed true to the actual Biblical account of events. And I’ve read Biblical fiction that I just didn’t like because the author totally changed events or people from the Biblical account.
Connilyn Cossette’s book series have definitely been the first. Connilyn’s first series was Out of Egypt. This series followed the Israelites as they left Egypt after the plagues and traveled to the Promised Land. (You can see my review for the final book in the series here.)
Her second series- Cities of Refuge- are about events that are happening to the Israelites in the Promised Land, and they specifically involve characters who are going to or who live in the designated cities of refuge. (You can see my review of the first book in this series here.)
I’ve now had the opportunity to read the next book in the Cities of Refuge series- Shelter of the Most High.

Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book for review purposes. All opinions are entirely my own, and I was not compensated in any other way.
